The member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (hereinafter referred to as "SCO") express their grave concern over the developments in the Middle East region and the armed attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran. SCO member States believe that the use of force is unacceptable and support the only way out of the current conflict, based on dialogue, mutual respect and the legitimate interests of all parties, in accordance with international law and the purposes of the UN Charter. SCO member states stressed the need to ensure Iran's national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, and supported all parties to exercise restraint and immediately stop actions that further exacerbate the situation. SCO member states strongly call on the United Nations and its Security Council to take immediate measures against acts that undermine international peace and security. SCO member states express deep condolences to the families of those killed in the attack and express solidarity and support to the Iranian government and people.
