President Yang Wanming Meets with Iranian Ambassador to China Bahtiyar

On January 8 2024 President Yang Wanming met with Iranian Ambassador to China Bahtiyar at the Chinese Peoples Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

Yang Wanming extended New Year greetings to Ambassador Bakhtiyar, happily discussing his experience of visiting Iran in November last year. He also stated that Iran is the first country I have visited since serving as the President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, which fully demonstrates the high importance that the Association attaches to the development of China Iran civil friendly cooperation. I am willing to closely cooperate with the Iran China Friendship Association and the Iranian Embassy in China, conscientiously implement the consensus of the two heads of state, consolidate the mechanism of the annual meeting of the Friendship Association of the two countries, promote the steady development of friendly city relations between the two countries, and contribute the wisdom and strength of the people to help the development of bilateral relations.

Ambassador Bahtiyar congratulated President Yang Wanming on his successful visit to Iran and highly praised the important role played by the Friendship Association in promoting cultural exchanges and local cooperation between Iran and China. He expressed his willingness to work together with the Friendship Association to deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in local areas, cultural tourism, youth, sports, science and technology, and enrich the connotation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
